Memory Lane Cruisers Inc, located in Clarksville Tennessee, is a non-profit organization that; Promotes interest in the automotive industry in general and Classic Cars, Rods, Customs, Muscle Cars, Antiques, Race Cars, Trucks and Motorcycles. To create and or promote good fellowship and sportsmanship among all members of this club as well as all members of this sport. To conduct club functions and activities in a manner befitting members of this sport, and to encourage a better understanding of the restoring of vehicles, as a constructive family sport, among members of the public, press, and law enforcement agencies. To promote and stress safety in driving, automobile maintenance, and overall vehicle operations. Club Monthly Business Meetings are on the third Tuesday of the month at the Library in Veterans Plaza. That is off Madison St. next to the old Montgomery Wards Store and the County Clerks Office. Members start to gather about 6:30pm and the business meetings begins at 7:00pm. It is generally over before 8:00pm. Saturday Evening Cruise-In at the Wendy's on Madison Street in Clarksville. The gathering begins about 5:00pm and generally breaks up about 9:00pm. There is no set agenda except to relax and have fun. There is always plenty of help and advice if you are having car troubles. Directions: From Exit 11 on I-24, take hwy 76 west towards Clarksville, about 3 miles. At the light on Madison Street/US-41A, turn left. Wendy's is immediately on your right. Club activities change every week depending on what is going on in the automotive industry around the country and what strikes the fancy of a group of the members. Some may be traveling long distances to big shows, swap meets, auctions, while others are staying close for one of the local activities. There is always plenty to do. On Sunday following the third Tuesday (business meeting) the club will have a Rod Run in their old cars to an eating establishment in the area, (Generally no more than 60 miles), have dinner and then return to the Clarksville area. Club Membership is open to anyone who would like to join. The annual membership fee is $25.00. A membership is a family membership including spouse/significant other, and children under 18. |
